“Cumin & Myrrh Stories”, the new fragrance that combines East and West through the olfactory memories of the artists refugees in Jordan

A new SEP project to bring thousands of female refugees above poverty line.

SEP STORE Milan, 30th March 2023 – “Cumin & Myrrh Stories” is the fragrance inspired by the olfactory memories of the SEP women/artists refugees in the Jerash refugee camp in Jordan. Created by Integra Fragrances, it is a real support to the SEP Social Enterprise Project, a B-Corporation social enterprise that aims to bring thousands of female refugees above the poverty line thanks to training and employment.

“Cumin & Myrrh Stories” is the tailor-made SEP olfactory identity developed by Integra Fragrances in 2021, embodying the brand’s values, imagery and ethical mission. Initially in-store diffused and turned into a bespoke product under form of a candle, today it also becomes a COSMOS certified eau de parfum. All the ingredients in the formula are natural raw materials, many of which are the result of a partnership with local producers to promote better living conditions. The entire production chain, from procurement to production, is tracked and controlled to ensure support to the fair-trade market.

A bold gender-free roll-on (10ml) to be worn every day and on every occasion, with a unique touch and meaning. A lively bergamot perfectly matches the sparkling, transparent notes of a green rose and the refreshing sensation of the cardamom. Cumin marks the SEP signature, accompanied by cedarwood, tonka bean, myrrh and benzoin in the dry-down. The comforting feeling of vanilla will remain on your skin embracing and reassuring you long after the application.

Roberta Ventura, Founder of SEP affirmed:We dreamt of bringing the SEP customer on a complete sensorial experience, in store and at home and now also on-the-go. The SEP embroideries address and please the eye and the touch, and thanks to this amazing collaboration, we can now bring the camp to the world, through a spiritual and hypnotic olfactive trip!

During the fragrances discovery phase, we were in Geneva, but we travelled to Jordan and we felt the same intense emotions that we feel in Jerash camp – we are amazed by how the Integra Fragrances team managed to translate the SEP olfactive memories into a fragrance!

Working with organizations which share our vision to enhance the Sustainable Development Goals, such as Integra Fragrances, takes us one step closer to fulfilling our mission: to bring thousands of refugees above the poverty line thanks to their skills and talent”.

Lorenzo Cotti, Integra Fragrances CEO & Founder, declared: “We are pleased to have contributed to the development of the first SEP Eau de Parfum thanks to our expertise in the fragrance industry. The refinement and distinctiveness of “Cumin & Myrrh Stories” was perfectly suited to a product extension for personal use. A unique and bold perfume which, once you wear it, immediately plunges you in the spicy, powdery, and floral universe typical of the Jordanian tradition. SEP for us does not only represent a strategic partnership, but our commitment to participate in a wider Corporate Social Responsibility project”.

The “Cumin & Myrrh Stories” roll-on is offered in an exclusive cotton and linen mini bag hand-embroidered by Hiba, Khadeejeh and dozens of other SEP artists with the “SEP water” motif, and it is available in a wide variety of colors.

The Integra Fragrances X SEP roll-on perfume has been responsibly conceived. The roll-on ensures an easy, cozy, and intimate application. The paper of the box is obtained by using 50% FSC® certified recycled fiber and 50% FSC® certified pure cellulose. The bottle is made with fully recyclable glass and is up to 30% recycled, while the removable roll-on ball makes the perfume packaging completely recyclable as it can be disposed of entirely, following the best recycling procedures. To minimize the use of plastic, no plastic cellophane is used as external wrap-around container. The mini bag of the product allows the packaging for a second life use once the perfume is finished.
